I am not a social justice, political, save the earth artist. But if we could act with the innate awareness practiced in our early lives, I believe change for the better could come to us evolutionally.*

My work strives to reconnect us with that time in our childhood when we remember where we came from. Our conditioning, our striving to fit in, becomes the greater part of our experience as we get older. When we near the end of our time on this earth, it is natural for us to want to recall that simple and connected consciousness.

Objective observation with a sense of wonder dominated our thoughts. Colors were brighter, tastes and smells were richer, and ideas were clear and prescient. Our perceptions extended beyond the present to join with our recent connection to the unknown. To experience our surroundings like that is a gift worth remembering, and a challenge worth repeating.

*The human animal’s present social situation may best be described as a plethora** of tribal factions continually knocking each other on the head.

**PLETHORA — means TOO MANY.

I love both reading and writing poems, as they are capable of transporting us with just a few words. I also tell my stories with paint on canvas.
